Awards and Recognitions

	Aggie Horticulture's Composting for Kids site was recognized with a Kid Scoop Choice Web Award! on 15 June 2009.
	Several members of the Aggie Horticulture Team received the Director's Award for Innovative Application of Information Technology in Extension Education at the 2001 Texas Cooperative Extension Conference.
	The Aggie Horticulture-PLANTanswers Team received the 1997 Texas Agricultural Extension Service's Superior Service Award and the Vice Chancellor's Award in Excellence in the team category.
	Aggie Horticulture received the ASHS Extension Division Educational Materials Award, Consumer Landscape Management Category at the ASHS annual meeting held in Salt Lake City on 22 - 26 July, 1997.
	The School Gardens section of kinderGARDEN was awarded a Four Star rating by Schoolzone's panel of over 400 expert teachers. This award was in recognition of the fact that it is a very good educational site: useful for teaching and learning and easy to navigate.
	The Composting for Kids slide set was rated "Wonderful!" and awarded 4 stars on 5/24/2000 by the nationally syndicated newspaper column Surfing the Net with Kids.
	Wildflowers in bloom and the School Garden resources section of Nutrition in the Garden received the Connected Teacher Hot Five Award for the week of March 23, 2000.
	The kinderGARDEN section of Aggie Horticulture was named as one of the top 100 educational Web sites for 1999 by The Education Source (no longer online) newsletter.
	Wildflowers in bloom, Composting Resources, and Earth-Kind^sm Gardening were selected as featured sites in StudyWeb as one of the best educational resources on the web.
	kinderGARDEN was selected as TecherNet's "Site of the Week" for the week of March 8, 1999.
	Aggie Horticulture was chosen as an Ask Jeeves Silver Platter Site in recognition of the fact that we answer so many questions.
	The Plant Tissue Culture Information Exchange site was chosen as HMS Beagle's "Web Pick of the Day" for February 14th, 1999.
	Horticulture Magazine reviewed the Wildflowers in bloom section of Aggie Horticulture and found it worthy of the Horticulture Online Seal of Approval.
	Aggie Horticulture was designated one of the Texas Top 5 Gardening Sites by Suite101.com
