Carbide Park is located next to the La Marque/Hitchcock city limits on FM 519 (Main Street) approximately 1.1 miles West of the intersection of FM 519 and I-45 (Exit 10).

If coming to La Marque from the Galveston area, take Exit 10 from I-45, turn left at the signal lights and go under the I-45 overpass.  At the stop sign turn right and at the next stop sign turn left (which is FM 519).  If coming to La Marque from the Houston/Clear Lake area, take Exit 10 from I-45. Immediately get in the far right lane. Watch for the FM 519 Spur, which is a turning lane to the right, and will be BEFORE you get to the intersection with traffic lights which will be visible. Taking the Spur will put you directly on FM 519. If
you miss this turning lane, go to the traffic lights and turn Right, go a short distance to a Stop sign,
turn Right again, then Left on to FM 519.

At  .5 miles on FM 519, you will cross a recently installed set of flashing signal lights traffic lights (replaced the old set of caution lights/yellow lights shown in the map below) at Vauthier Street (right side) and Fairwood Road (left side).

Travel another .5 miles and the entrance to Carbide Park is located on the right at the set of caution lights.

To reach the site of Spring Pecan Field Day program activities on April 10, 2008, travel to the far end (northern most section) of Carbide Park.
