Bob Wiedenfeld received his B.S./Range Management in 1972 from California State University, Humboldt. He received his M.S./Range Science in 1974 from Texas A&M University and his Ph.D./Soil Science in 1978 from Texas A&M University.
My area of research includes soil fertility and plant nutrition, cultural practices, water management, and effects of production systems on ground water contamination. Crops studied include vegetables, field crops, sugar cane, forages and citrus. I work with growers, land managers and homeowners on problems related to soil properties, fertilization, and water quality. I also serve as editor for the Subtropical Plant Science Journal for the Rio Grande Valley Horticultural Society.
