Method of Nomination
of New Members
A nomination may be submitted by any faculty member of the
Department of Horticultural Sciences at Texas A&M University.
The award will not necessarily be given annually, but rather
will be given when a worthy nomination(s)
is(are) received.
Nominations will be solicited at the beginning of
the calendar year.
Nominations must use the attached Nomination Form and
must include the following:
Nominee's name, home and/or business mailing address
and telephone
Education (including a listing of schools with dates of
attendance, degrees received, including honorary degrees).
As per the Selection Criteria, statements as to how the
nominee
Has a record of impressive accomplishments which indicate
significant achievements and contributions to the teaching,
extension and research mission of horticulture at Texas
A&M University.
Has attained prominence through his/her efforts in
horticulture.
Possesses integrity, stature and demonstrated ability that
merits the recognition a proven leader in his/her chosen field.
Letters of support from faculty, staff and industry
leaders are welcomed, but are not mandatory. Nominations are
limited to no more than three (3) letters of support.
